| The Annett Consultancy — our service offering |
Our services for French fiscal residents, or those soon intending to be so, fall into three categories:
- assisting with fiscal, legal and general issues - this relates to all forms of personal and business taxation, state and private healthcare, personal loans and mortgages, the effects of French laws such as Marriage Regimes and Tontines, identity cards, driving licences and so on, business creations…
- the provision of every kind of financial and investment advice – covering all French and offshore forms of investments, savings, retirement planning and pensions, income and risk protection,
- the act of brokerage – for all forms of investment mediums whether financial or banking, savings, pensions, income and other forms of protection, private healthcare, and loan and mortgage products.
Although each of these service areas is available individually, they are more commonly used together when advising clients on how best to arrange their overall financial affairs for maximum fiscal, legal, protection and investment benefit. Indeed, it is only through the practice having such a strong fiscal bias that your consultant can consider the most appropriate financial paths to adopt, to then have free independent access to the markets to find the most acutely suitably contracts from the best investment, assurance, mutual or banking groups.
As professionals, it goes without saying that we work on a fee basis. However, as almost all acts of brokerage are remunerated by commission, this offers both us and our clients additional opportunities for financing our services in the most appropriate manner, and always by mutual agreement which is then signed in advance of commencing to act for you.
We are always available to give further individual on-going consultations. But, where investments are concerned, simply ensuring that a financial strategy is most appropriately initially established is by far the last step in the life of any investment. Whilst it is true that it is only the financial strategies that are more researched and better-founded that will stand the test of time, things do have the uncanny knack of changing unexpectedly! This is why we monitor everything that may relate to our clients generally, we keep a watchful eye over clients’ investments and other investment-related contracts, and why our ongoing service has to be, and is, exemplary.
Whatever your needs may be, or however complex they might seem, our expertise and servicing ethos is the only way to ensure that your new financial and investment strategy is fiscally optimised, legally sound, and has the right – and best – investment potential.

| Professional knowledge, diagnosis, tailored solution |
|
As a foreign national residing in France, are you confident that you have a full understanding of French fiscal and civil laws, and the French treatment of investments? The Annett Consultancy can advise you on the wider ramifications of French laws on your financial affairs.
Because advising you appropriately depends on an in-depth analytical diagnosis, your consultant must have, in the right circumstances, a perfect knowledge of the legal and fiscal parameters that can affect you both in France, and in the country of which you are a national. The Annett Consultancy, directed by Michael Annett, has the necessary financial experience in accountancy, taxation, banking and the financial services professions to be able to advise you, furthermore, Michael has over 17 years’ experience as an independent investment broker and advisor in both the UK and France.
But arriving at a correctly defined diagnosis is only part of the process. The next stage is to construct the most beneficial and fiscally-strategic solution, tailored to your specific requirements.
Michael Annett's experience as an independent investment broker, and his detailed and diverse knowledge of the financial consultant's advisory role, enable him and his consultants to understand how best to structure a client’s financial affairs, including where to find the financial instruments that are the most suitable and the most competitive.
It is this fusion of:
- the independent financial broker, and
- the professional experiences of the financial consultant (taxation, accounting, and jurisprudence)
which gives consultants of The Annett Consultancy the most complete insight into the consequences of a client’s financial situation — past, present and future … and how to shape these for a better, more secure, less taxing future.
